Galapagos Travel with Gary Arndt

In October 2011 I had the pleasure of fulfilling a life long dream by traveling to the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos is home to sever species found nowhere else on Earth, including the world’s only marine iguana and the world’s northernmost penguin. The Galapagos are also important to the history of science, as they are were the inspiration for both Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution and theory of coral atoll development.

It also happens to be a photographers playground. Because the islands were never inhabited, the wildlife on the islands has no fear of humans. You can walk admits birds and iguanas (at a safe distance) without having them run away.

There are few places I’ve visited where I know I will one day return, but the Galapagos are one of them.
