The G Project: One Idea Can Change the World

Steve English April 3, 2013 5

Will it be yours? Enter the G Project and help us make this planet a little more perfect.

You’ve no doubt been someplace – maybe even your own hometown – where people are struggling with the basic things that you take for granted every day: clean water, a safe home, decent medical care, those sorts of things. You’ve probably thought to yourself: “This isn’t right. The solution is so simple. Someone ought to do something about this.” You know who that someone is? You.

Share your idea to change the world.

If you’ve got an idea to make the world better, we want to hear it. G Adventures and the Planeterra Foundation are offering you the chance to make your world a little more perfect with the G Project. What’s the G Project? It’s a simple way to collect all those great ideas you and people like you are having and put them in front of experts who can make them a reality.

It could earn you a trip to Costa Rica and $25,000 towards making it a reality.

The G Project is amazingly simple: Just think up an idea, submit it, then encourage other people to vote for it. You can adjust your idea at any time during the voting period based on the feedback you receive from other participants, too. Four of the highest-scoring ideas will earn their authors a ticket to Costa Rica to attend the first-ever Summit in the Jungle, an ideas conference chaired by G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip. There, the ideas will be assessed by a panel of experts who will choose one to be turned into a bona fide Planeterra project with $25,000 in start-up funding.

One idea really can change the world.

The G Project opens for submissions from April 3 to June 3, 2013. We’re looking for transformative ideas that are small-scale, sustainable and focussed on helping local communities. Get your ideas in early; the more votes you earn, the better your chance of making it to the Summit to pitch your idea to the panel.

One idea really can change the world. Will it be yours? Go to thisisyourplanet.com today, sign up and enter your submission.

Good luck! Your planet needs you. Make it proud.
