Fun with perspective with the tour group
Etosha National Park in Namibia was a place I had heard much of. The first game reserve on my G Adventures trip, I was excited to finally gaze upon herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and fine my favorite animal, the elusive honey badger. Etosha was supposed to be one of the best parks in southern Africa and by far the most famous in Namibia.
The reserve didn’t disappoint. As we entered the park, our driver slammed on the breaks and yelled over the microphone “elephants on the left!” And there on our left was a herd of elephants with zebras around. We hadn’t even entered the park and already the animals were greeting us.
This was going to be a great trip and over the next few days the park was everything I had hoped it would be. But to really understand the beauty of Etosha you need to see it and below are 15 photos that really highlight the beauty of the park.

I didn’t take my first trip overseas until I was 23. I went alone with a tour group to Costa Rica. And, after that, I was hooked on traveling.
But like most Americans I only had two weeks of vacation per year. But then on a trip to Thailand in 2005, everything changed. I met five backpackers who showed me that I didn’t have to be tied down to my job and that I didn’t need to be rich to travel. After that trip, I went home to Boston, Mass. I decided to leave the rat race and explore the world so I finished my MBA, quit my cubicle job, and, in July 2006, I set out on an adventure around the world.
My original trip was supposed to last a year. I didn’t come home until 18 months later. Once back, I knew I couldn’t go back to my old life or a typical job – I wanted to travel too much. I had the bug and there was no going back for me. I built my website and three months later, I was on the road again. I haven’t stopped since.
