Senior Operations Manager, South East Asia

We are looking for an experienced travel industry Senior Operations Manager based in Bangkok, Thailand, to lead a diverse and growing staff and to oversee South East Asia product development and tour operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to a team of operations staff, tour leaders (CEO's), and reservations staff in South East Asia
- Integrate and promote G Adventures Core Values, company culture and brand through all aspects of the organization
- Ensure proper human resource standards and procedures are met, to attract and retain the best staff to work in the operations team
- Manage the team to ensure operations, customer service, and purchasing KPIs are identified and met
- Management of the fiscal office budget
- Cost of goods management
- Management of accounting team for all of Asia
- Develop and manage business relationships with service providers
- Business development within the region
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in senior leadership role in the travel industry, and extensive travel in South East Asia
- Graduate or Degree / Diploma in a Business Administration or Tourism Management program
- Regional geography and intimate knowledge of G Adventures products and competitive products in the region
- Understanding and awareness of Thai business requirements especially as pertaining to the travel industry
- Office administration, problem solving and organizational skills and experience
- Training and staff development experience
- Negotiating and contracting experience
- Advanced computer and strong Microsoft Office skills (advanced level)
- Ability to manage a crisis and take responsibility for the safety of others
- An understanding of and commitment to customer service
- Excellent verbal communication skills and writing ability
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage/lead day to day operations whilst achieving operational excellence
- Driven and motivated by a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn and be challenged by continual professional development
- Understanding of, and identification with, G Adventures’ Core Values
- Regular travel in the region and to Canada
