Social Media Coordinator

The primary purpose of this Social Media Coordinator’s role is to support the Director of Global Communications in executing G Adventure’s social media strategy across the company’s various social media channels, currently including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+ and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of G Adventures on social channels
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to plan and distribute existing content or publish original content (images, video and text) through social media channels
  • Grow the G Adventures presence across social media platforms by attracting new followers and consistently engaging current fans
  • Directly manage day-to-day outreach on social media properties by monitoring ongoing conversations, integrating closely with the Incite and Inside Sales teams and efficiently responding to customer inquiries
  • Ensure full consumer and trade campaign integration across all social media touch points for seasonal launches, special promotions and events
  • Monitor performance of social media platforms by regularly analyzing and reporting on key performance metrics such as effectiveness of channels and content, audience growth and engagement, referrals and ultimately business metrics
  • Coordinate with Global Communications team to nurture relationships with key bloggers and experts in the social space
  • Monitor trends and proactively provide recommendations on new tools and/or services to more effectively manage social channels
  • Work in conjunction with other internal departments to initiate, guide and support projects and through social media
  • Advocate for and champion use of social media, rallying support where necessary for social integration across campaigns and offering social media training where deemed valuable
  • Be present on-site where required for various marketing engagements

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising or communications or an equivalent combination of related education
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of major social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google +
  • Demonstrated experience and a passion for social technology, staying current on digital and social marketing trends and platforms
  • Strong photography and video-editing skills, as well as fluency in Adobe CS
  • Experience with online monitoring systems, including Google Analytics, Facebook and YouTube Insights, Radian6, Sysomos and others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented with a keen analytical mindset
  • A curious disposition who is motivated by challenges
