June 23, 2005. Toronto - Calling all travellers! The G Adventures TV series has recently completed filming trips in Italy, Spain, Morocco and Vietnam, so it's time to send out a new "casting call" for travellers to join us in India and Nepal.
What are the requirements? What are we looking for?
You have to be an adventurous traveller, excited to travel to and experience the different cultures that are found in India and Nepal. The trips are active, with lots of travelling and lots of activities. Hiking in Nepal can be challenging for some...but that's what makes it exciting! All travellers on these trips will be responsible to pay their own trip costs and airfare.
So, if you share our passion for adventure, and interest in travelling to some off-the-beaten-path destinations then these trips are possibly for you. Read on below, for information about these two trips, and a reminder of what type of travellers we are looking for.
G Adventures TV Nepal
We do not need a show host. We want real travellers.
We do not need actors. We want real travellers.
We will not coddle you. We want real travellers.
We do want young, old, tall, short...variety!
We accept people from everywhere (US, Europe, etc.)
We will provide an authentic, grassroots, adventure experience.
We will film you for TV and provide you with your own DVD of the trip.
With 6 episodes already airing on TV and another 4 on their way, the documentary-styled "Great Adventure People" TV series has been a great success to date. We expect these trips to India and Nepal to be among the best yet. Priority is given to travellers who are there for the cultural and adventure experience, instead of the TV cameras. Our shows are meant to provide an insight into adventure travel, with real travellers on real trips. While our film crew makes efforts to not disturb the group atmosphere and allow you to enjoy your adventure experience, you will undoubtedly notice them from time to time.

We will consider everyone, so if you think you can handle a little culture shock and a little adventure, we look forward to hearing from you. Space is very limited and applicants are required to send their details by July 18th at the latest.
Remember that these trips are adventurous in nature, so flexibility and a sense of humour are important. The trips can also be physically challenging, so you must be capable to participate in the activites, without assistance from others.
The more information you send us, the better the chances of being selected for these trips. Share your stories and tell us why you should be chosen. As always, bribes do not work, unless they involve penguins and unfortunately, if you have been on one of our TV episodes already, we appreciate your continued interest, but we will prefer to offer space to other travellers. Good luck to everyone, we hope to see you in India or Nepal!
