Hurricane Wilma - Update on tours running in Mexico

9 Nov 2005

November 9 , 2005 - Hurricane Wilma, which recently hit Mexico’s Yucatán, caused a great deal of damage which is still being assessed.

G Adventures has been closely monitoring the situation and has both visited and spoken with representatives from our joining hotel in Cancun, Hotel Kin Mayab. All services at the hotel are operating normally as the hotel is located in the downtown area which sustained considerably less damage compared to the coastal areas of Cancun.

G Adventures will be returning to normal operations for all trips beginning on or after Nov 13, 2005 in the Cancun area.

The Cancun airport is open and accepting flights however, please note it is still up to each individual airline as to when they will begin flying into Cancun. Passengers should check with their airline prior to departure. For any passengers who cannot arrive directly into Cancun, G Adventures will be pleased to provide any additional information required for getting to the starting point hotel in Cancun from another airport.

The policy for all trips departing before Nov. 12 and starting in Cancun will continue to be in place:
