Urgent appeal to support earthquake survivors in Peru

17 Aug 2007

August 17, 2007 – In response to the earthquake that has devastated coastal areas of Peru, G Adventures is sending out an urgent appeal asking for donations to help support the survivors of this disaster.

“G Adventures is eager to provide immediate assistance and long-term support to these communities to which we travel,” says Bruce Poon Tip, CEO of G Adventures. “We are also committed to encouraging support of the region by matching all donations up to $30,000 to double the impact.”

All donations made through Planeterra - the G Adventures Foundation, will go to the Canadian Red Cross Society to support the relief efforts for those in need of food, shelter and medical aid in affected areas of Peru.

G Adventures' offices in Lima and Cuzco are coordinating the distribution of tents, water, blankets and food supplies to the region. G Adventures passengers travelling to Peru can also support relief efforts by dropping off donated supplies including clothing, blankets, canned food, powered milk, water and tents at any hotels visited on G Adventures tours in Lima and Cuzco.

To help support those affected by the earthquake, please donate to G Adventures’ Peru Earthquake Appeal.
