G Adventures CEO awarded for entrepreneurship

March 25, 2007 - G Adventures Founder & CEO Bruce Poon Tip was recently honoured with the Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year and the New Pioneers Award in the Entrepreneur category.

“I am delighted to receive these prestigious awards,” said Bruce. “I also want to take the opportunity to share this honour with our entire team, who have continually demonstrated the highest levels of dedication, innovation, and teamwork.”

The New Pioneers Award has become Toronto’s landmark celebration of diversity and its objective is to raise public awareness and publicly recognize the contributions made by newcomers to Canadian communities. The award was created by Skills for Change, a non-profit organization which provides learning and training opportunities to immigrants and refugees.

The Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year, awarded by the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs, recognized G Adventures for its operating success, profitability and financial growth. This award also recognized Bruce’s innovation as an industry leader, and for his corporate citizenship.
