G Adventures is delighted to announce that its Voodoo Trail trip has been named to National Geographic Adventures magazine’s exclusive 25 Best New Trips in the World list for 2009. This is the seventh consecutive year a G Adventures trip has been awarded a spot on this prestigious list.

Highlights of the Voodoo Trail include:

*Joining a Voodoo ceremony in one of the local villages of the Kpalime region.

*Meeting with a bokono (soothsayer) to learn the practice of divination.

*Having an audience with His Majesty the Oba (king) in the Yoruba kingdom of Ketou, in South Benin with the opportunity to speak with him and learn about his role of traditional chief in a modern state.

*Trekking into the Atakora mountains and exploring the fortified dwellings of Tamberma and Somba on foot. The two villages share one of the most beautiful examples of ancient African architecture.
