Born and raised in a small town on the South Coast of South Australia, I dreamed of travelling to exotic places from a very young age. I always wanted to get out and live overseas so I could see more of the world. As a kid I saw a lot of Australia on family camping holidays.

When I was in high school I finally got the chance to venture abroad on a school trip to Japan. After high school I headed to Singapore and Malaysia to visit friends. Finally after two years of university I headed off for my first big trip to spend a semester in Finland. While I was there I took the chance to go to as many places as possible. I visited 14 countries in 7 months including: Russia, Sweden, Italy, Estonia, France and the United Kingdom. After that the bug had well and truly bitten. In my finally years at University I headed to Chile and Turkey. Once I was done with study I packed up and headed to live in Vancouver, backpacking through the USA on the way.

Im always dreaming of my next big trip and love to travel like a local, seeing more than just the sites. My current list includes: Mexico, Peru, Mongolia, east Africa and of course Antarctica.

My travels began at the age of two when my mom took me around England, Scotland and France by car. Back in Canada, based in Ontario, I saw a little more of the country from the passenger seat every year...slowly feeding my passion, and eventual addiction to travel.

My first travels on my own led me to Mexico, which I love and have visited numerous times. On my fourth trip to Mexico I planned to work as a volunteer for six months to fully experience life there. I stayed for five years during which time I began working with G Adventures as a tour leader on trips through Mexico and Central America! I eventually moved back to Vancouver where I graduated from UBC with a degree in Latin American Studies and received my certification as a translator.

I have now set my travelling feet on all 7 continents; best trip ever? Antarctica! The roster includes Australia, Fiji, Thailand, Nepal, the Galapagos islands, Egypt, Peru to hike the Inca trail, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Argentina, Brazil and Cuba. When I'm not planning your vacations and adventures I can be found at the beach or park with my beloved basset hound, on the seawall training for my next big run or cheering on my favourite hockey team. Go Canucks go!!!
