My travels began at the age of two when my mom took me around England, Scotland and France by car. Back in Canada, based in Ontario, I saw a little more of the country from the passenger seat every year...slowly feeding my passion, and eventual addiction to travel.

My first travels on my own led me to Mexico, which I love and have visited numerous times. On my fourth trip to Mexico I planned to work as a volunteer for six months to fully experience life there. I stayed for five years during which time I began working with G Adventures as a tour leader on trips through Mexico and Central America! I eventually moved back to Vancouver where I graduated from UBC with a degree in Latin American Studies and received my certification as a translator.

I have now set my travelling feet on all 7 continents; best trip ever? Antarctica! The roster includes Australia, Fiji, Thailand, Nepal, the Galapagos islands, Egypt, Peru to hike the Inca trail, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Argentina, Brazil and Cuba. When I'm not planning your vacations and adventures I can be found at the beach or park with my beloved basset hound, on the seawall training for my next big run or cheering on my favourite hockey team. Go Canucks go!!!

Being from England, I had easy access to Europe growing up, and my exploration began at an early age, on family holidays and school trips to France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. As time went on and the holidays took me further afield to the States and Australia, I realized I just wanted to see more of the world.

I took a year out before University and went to Singapore followed by backpacking the East coast of Australia with a friend. Before I knew it, I was aching to get away and see more places as often as money would allow. After finishing school I found myself working in order to fund my travel bug – holidays in Greece, snowboarding in Austria, backpacking around the States from Boston to San Francisco, volunteering in Victoria BC, and camping all around New Zealand.

The ideal solution was a career in travel, which allowed me to explore Malaysia, Hong Kong, Borneo, St Lucia, Morocco, Amsterdam, Montreal and Toronto. Now living in Vancouver, furthering my love for Canada, I am honoured to be working for G Adventures where I can share my own experiences and passion for travel with others. As far as where to go next, currently Central America and Southern Africa would be at the top of the list.

Raised by two very seasoned travel junkies, I caught the travel bug early on. My mom was born in Austria and my father in the Belgian Congo, so I was spoiled as a child with trips to Europe to visit my grandparents and any other adventures we could tag on in between.

In high school I signed up for as many trips and exchanges as my course load would allow: Studying for a semester in Melbourne, touring London and Tokyo, participating in Model United Nations in Manhattan and spending the Millennium in Cuba. After my first semester at University I took the leap of embarking on my first and much anticipated solo trip - backpacking through Europe - and have been hooked on authentic, shoestring travel ever since! Nowadays I love to explore off the beaten track locations on my own, with family and most of all with fellow travel-a-holics on G Adventures tours.

Over the last 10 years I have lived in Montreal, Vancouver, Paris and New York, and have set a personal goal of taking at least one adventure trip each year. So far I've trekked to Cambodia, China, Egypt and Columbia. Next on the wish list? India, Nepal and Tibet please! When I'm not travelling or daydreaming about my next trip, I enjoy hiking, eating foreign cuisine, meeting new people, stopping cute dogs on the street and smelling the flowers!
