Let Iguazu National Park take your breath away

Travelers on a trip to Brazil will likely hear many locals recommend a trip to Iguazu National Park - and for good reason. At the heart of the park is the Iguazu Falls, an enormous semicircle of waterfalls that runs across the border of Brazil and Argentina. The falls are one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, and the surrounding rainforest will give tourists the chance to glimpse some of the curious creatures that call Brazil's rainforests home.
The falls are approximately 80 meters high and three kilometers wide, making them some of the largest in the world. There are 275 individual waterfalls that make up this spectacular area, but the most famous is likely the Devil's Throat. This fall is 80 meters high, and legend has it that it was created when a god, enraged after his plans to marry a beautiful woman were foiled, cleaved the Iguazu river, causing his former flame and her new lover to fall over the edge.
The falls aren't the only incredible aspect of this national park. There are over 2,000 species of vascular plant in the surrounding region. Animal enthusiasts won't be disappointed either - there are tapirs, jaguars, ocelots and a number of bird species that roam the park.
