Ancient city rises once again in Egypt

The ancient city of Leukaspis has recently re-emerged from the sands of Egypt and sits in the middle of the now popular city of Marina.
Leukaspis, also known as Antiphrae, was hidden for hundreds of years after it was almost destroyed by a tsunami that engulfed the area, reported the Associated Press, and was basically buried under the current resort city of Marina during its developmental period.
Now, the remains of the Greco-Roman port city will soon be open to the public. Egyptian authorities are preparing to open Leukaspis' tombs, villas and winding streets to visitors, offering travelers the opportunity to explore the history of the area.
"Visitors can go to understand how people lived back then, how they built their graves, lived in villas or traded in the main agora," Ahmed Amin, the local inspector for the antiques department, told the news source. "Everyone's heard of the resort Marina, now they will know the historic Marina."
