The Pharaohs await in the Valley of the Kings

Famous for its Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt, is a fascinating place that draws travelers from all over the world seeking adventure.
The valley, nicknamed the "Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh," according to Lonely Planet travel guides, has more than 60 royal tombs from the New Kingdom period estimated to last from 1150 to 1069 BC.
They are reportedly all different from one another, but many have scenes of Egyptian mythology on their tombs, which provide insight to the religious beliefs and funeral rites from the New Kingdom period.
When travelers come to visit the site, they won't be able to visit all of the tombs, but there are approximately 18 that are able to be opened by security. According to Frommer's, the best tombs to see are those of Horemheb, Seti I and Ramses III.
Those who want to brave the heat can explore the sites at their own leisurely pace, but this is one place where a bus tour might be more beneficial.
The best way to explore the Valley of the Kings is with a small group of adventure travelers.
