In France, Paris' Montmartre neighborhood holds a special place in many people's hearts. The center of the French bohemian revolution and the place where Monet, van Gogh and Picasso were inspired, has attracted many visitors and artists from around the world. On your next adventure travel trip to France, make sure to stop by and see some of the open house studios.
According to the New York Times, this year's "Artists' Studios Open House Days: Anvers to Abbesses," will take place between November 19 and 21. More than 120 artists from 74 locations will open their studios doors and welcome people into their workplace, to hopefully sell some pieces and expose their work to a large audience.
Wander through the winding cobblestone streets while music fills the area and artists show off their work.
“The best part of the weekend is meeting all kinds of people, from rubberneckers to art lovers, art professionals and art collectors," Mary-Ann Beall, secretary of the art association, told the news source. "It’s a very sensible and genuine way to show your artwork and have immediate and sincere reactions from strangers.”
