Head to the Cesme Peninsula while in Turkey

Many people are looking for places to go during the colder winter months. When planning your next adventure travel trip, look no further than the Cesme Peninsula in Turkey.
The quaint villages characterized by crumbling facades will draw you in, and the romantic sea views will make you never want to leave. This area used to be under Greek rule during ancient Greece's command of the region and the influences are still very apparent.
Today the region is well known for its thermal spas, small hideaways and breathtaking views of the sea.
While in the Cesme Peninsula, head to Erytrai, an ancient city that is quietly re-emerging from the Mediterranean shores. It was one of twelve Ionian cities in Asia Minor at its prime. The archaeological site is currently in the Turkish village of Ildiri, and was first excavated and explored in the 1960s.
The best way to explore Turkey is with a small group of adventure travelers.
