Scotland and Morocco top most popular adventure travel destinations

People who are constantly looking for the next place to explore, might be contemplating between a couple of places to visit for their next adventure travel trip. A new report though may make that decision a little bit easier, giving you more time to enjoy your adventurous vacation.
According to the National Statistics Travel and Trade Report, Scotland and Morocco are the two top destinations for adventure travelers this year. Due to the increase of low cost airline options, many travelers are choosing to fly to unique destinations that are easy to get to, and won't break the bank.
Egypt and Morocco saw a 10 percent year on year growth in visitors, while Scotland had a similar growth rate, according to the report.
These destinations can be easily reached for shorter vacations, while still offering travelers the opportunity to explore the Pyramids, desert or hiking opportunities.
"We're seeing more and more people who've been on a G Adventures year, got a taste for independent travel, and now want to recapture that sense of adventure on their annual holidays," said a travel agent in the report. " In the current economic climate, few can afford a two week holiday in India, SE Asia or Australia, so they're turning instead to Scotland and North Africa for their dose of adventure. We are seeing huge demand for Morocco."
The best way to experience these places is with a small group of adventure travelers
