Windsurf on the beautiful Ixia Beach

Although most beaches found while Greek Islands sailing are nice, Ixia Beach offers a little something extra for adventure travelers who are looking to do more than catch some rays.
Ixia Beach, located on the Greek island of Rhodes, is the perfect spot for windsurfing and has become quite a popular destination for those who are looking to sail the clear blue waters. About two miles away from Rhodes Town, the island's capital, travelers may consider taking bike ride to enjoy the scenery.

Windsurfers can benefit from the constant breeze and will quickly find there's never a bad time of day to go. The beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles and offers many sun beds to rest when not playing in the water. As the beach has become known for its water sports, it's fairly easy to rent either a surf board or jet ski.

Although the beach's waves make for a great reason to windsurf, those who want to simply go for a leisure swim may want to look for a beach without rough waters.
