Mount Fuji attracts adventure seekers in a conditioning frame of mind

Mount Fuji, the highest peak in Japan, is an exciting adventure for any hiker who decides to ascend to its summit.
Rising 12,388 feet above sea level, the mountain is perfect for first-time climbers who want a challenging experience without risking their lives. Guides provide all technique tutorials and equipment necessary for the adventure travel experience.
July and August are the best months to make the trek, states James M. Clash, an adventure writer for the Huffington Post.
"By then, most of the winter's snow has melted and the ascent requires neither skill nor technical equipment," Clash adds. "It's so easy that many make the climb at night to see sunrise from the summit."
There are four routes to the peak of Fuji, some of which only start just 4,588 vertical feet from the summit.
That doesn't mean conditioning isn't required, however. In less than two hours, hikers will climb 2 miles above sea level, where there is one-third less oxygen in the atmosphere.
The views from the summit are worth the effort and long hours of walking.
Climbing with a group of small adventure travelers is the best way to experience a trek up Mount Fuji.
