Climb the tallest mountain in North Africa

Located just outside Marrakech, Morocco, stands North Africa's tallest peak - Mt. Toubkal.
Explore this national park, which rises from the pink-hued flatlands of Morocco's "Red City," with a guide and travelers will get a rare and unique experience.
These treks take approximately two days up and down the mountain, but it's no easy feat. Mules help along the way, but the 4,167 meter hike is a rugged adventure. Once travelers reach the top, however, the views will be worth the hard work.
Overlooking the High Atlas Mountains, the summit of Toubkal has one of the most stunning vistas in North Africa.
Along the way, travelers will encounter remote villages, terraced fields that offer insight into the ways of the Berber people, and residents themselves. Hikers will listen to the stories of the indigenous people who have lived here for centuries as they take a breather and enjoy the scenery.
Travelers worried about their fitness levels will find plenty of other mountains to climb using Marrakech as their base that still have amazing views of the Moroccan countryside.
The best way to trek up Mt. Toubkal is with a small group of adventure travelers.
