Plan a trip to ski an Olympic-grade mountain this winter

Though the northern hemisphere is right in the middle of summer, it is time to start thinking about fun and exciting cold weather adventure travel. Individuals who are interested in planning a trip for the winter months should consider traveling to British Columbia to ski some of the province's fantastic peaks.
The Winter Olympic Games were held in Whistler last winter. The Dave Murray Downhill was one of the main events, due to its status as one of the longest vertical courses in the world. Skiers can channel their gold medal icons as they zoom down this more than 3,000 foot drop, but should be careful not to wipe out, as speeds of up to 75 miles per hour have been recorded by individuals on this course.
Though racing down the Dave Murray Downhill may sound like an exciting, though dangerous, adventure travel activity, individuals should consider taking a more leisurely pace. When not careening down the course at breakneck speed, skiers will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Individuals who wish to feel the rush of skiing down an Olympic-grade course should keep in mind that this trip is best undertaken with a small group of adventure travelers.
