Kayak through the Norwegian fjords

Exploring the seas of Norway via kayak is one of the most exciting northern experiences travelers can have.
Before getting in the boat, kayakers will learn how to make a wet exit and feel safe while trekking across the ocean.
On their journey, travelers will paddle past massive glaciers and beautiful fjords in a landscape so beautiful it would be a tragedy if visitors forgot their camera. For those who are unaware, a fjord is a narrow stretch of sea that reaches like an arm into the landscape.
These waterways took over 3 million years to be created and are thrilling to be near, given its imposing stature.
"Gouged by glaciers, studded with deep valleys, characterized by rolling fells and rugged mountain plateaus, the fjord country is a land of farmlands, blossoming orchards, small villages, cascading waterfalls, and Scandinavia's most convoluted geography," states Frommer's travel guides.
Most trips to the Norwegian fjords start in Bergen, a picturesque city on the western coast of the country.
The best way to experience a kayak trip through Norwegian seas is with a small group of adventure travelers.
