I grew up in a small village called Huanuco in central Peru. With the help of student loans, I was able to attend university where I studied sustainable tourism. After graduation, I heard about G Adventures' sustainable philosophy and thought, 'this is for me.' As a woman, there are few travel companies in Peru that will hire a female tour leader. But G Adventures did . They provided me the life-changing opportunity to travel across Latin America and meet so many incredible people from all around the world. G Adventures has given me the freedom to travel, financial independence, and most importantly, self-confidence as a woman and a tour leader. I view the world differently now and do not feel that there are boundaries on the places I can go.

My favourite experience was on a tour in Bolivia. The tour had many complications to overcome, but the group kept a positive attitude and worked as a team. I have good memories of this trip because of the high spirits and humour the passengers had. In the end, we all had a fantastic trip.

G Adventures tours help people to appreciate what they have in their own lives. I have received emails from my passengers after they returned home saying that they value culture more after experiencing new foods, languages and ways of life. I met a man on one of my tours who showed me how to enjoy life at any age, because it is easy to complicate your life over unimportant things. He was always happy and energetic. This showed me that if I do the same and stay positive, other people will have this attitude as well.

G Adventures has given me the opportunity to travel to different countries. experience their cultures and to meet many new people. I learn new things every day. I view the world differently now and I do not feel that are boundaries to the places I can go.
