This adventure exceeded our expectations on every level. Our guide Aaron and driver Fortune were such an important reason this journey through Africa was such an incredible experience for my wife Dawn and myself. Their personality, knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm made this a truly unique and exciting adventure. Beyond being our trip leaders they became good friends which was an added bonus. As far as I am concerned the G Adventures way of travel through Africa is the only way to truly experience this amazing continent up close and personal. We had many opportunities throughout our travels to meet and interact with the locals and get a sense of the rich culture and tradition that exists in each country that we visited. We have traveled with other companies and none have the flexibility and grassroots connections that are planned into G Adventures itineraries. My wife and I really liked the spontaneity and surprises that were added along the way that added so many vivid memories that we will share for the rest of our lives. We would take another G Adventures trip in a heartbeat! When planning our next trip; if G Adventures goes there, we go with G Adventures. That simple! This Africa experience was way beyond what we were hoping for and it means everything to Dawn and I that G Adventures made our years dreaming of Africa become such an incredible reality. We can't and won't stop thinking of all the amazing places, people, animals and culture that our guide Aaron exposed us to. He was the best guide we could have hoped to share this journey with. It was obvious that he enjoys being a guide and sharing his knowledge of Africa to enrich our travel experience. In addition to the Overland Expedition I stayed on for an extra week to take a shot at climbing Kili. This was also a G Adventures trip and it also was well organized and provided exactly the experience that I was hoping for. Not only did I successfully reach Uhuru Summit but the days trekking up there and then back down were some of the most fun and exciting moments in my life. G Adventures delivered another great experience! 2 for 2!

Travelling overland by truck was a great experience. It allows us to see the local culture closely.

The road was long but worth as our destinations were always a new adventure. From the Masai Farm in Malawi to the bungalows on Zanzibar Island facing the Indian Ocean. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater were some of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I do hope I make it back there again one day.

This was a fantastic tour and I only wish I had done the extended tour from Capetown to Nairobi instead of just from Livingstone. I couldn't believe how close I was to the wildlife and I recommend an overland camping tour to have this experience. It was magic!

This trip was awesome. February was a great month for weather. Although we spent a lot of time travelling the scenery was amazing and we had the opportunity to see local village life.
