Day 1 Lima

Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.

Day 2 Iquitos/Amazon Riverboat (B,D)

Fly to Iquitos. Included city tour and transfer to the boat. Cast off on the Amazon River.

Day 3 Marañon River/Amazon River/Ucayali River (B,L,D)

Sail to the confluence of the Marañon and Ucayali Rivers, considered to be the beginning of the Amazon. Boat and land excursions to spot flora and fauna.

Days 4-5 Marañon River/Pacaya Samiria National Reserve (2B,2L,2D)

Excursions to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve for wildlife viewing and the chance to interact with the locals. Onboard presentations and discussions about wildlife. Meet a shaman. Opportunity for canopy walkway through the jungle.

Day 6 Marañon River/Pacaya Samiria National Reserve (B,L,D)

Early morning excursion and picnic breakfast. Opportunities for piraña fishing and excursions by dugout canoe. Chance for swimming. Attend a jungle cooking lesson to learn about and sample local cuisine. Spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 7 Nauta/Sapisapi River (B,L,D)

Call at the port of Nauta. Tour the town and local markets. Afternoon excursion on the Sapisapi River to search for wildlife before an evening dinner party.

Day 8 Nauta/Lima (B)

Disembark at Nauta. Included visit to a manatee rescue centre before transferring to the airport for the flight back to Lima. Free afternoon.

Day 9 Lima (B)

Depart at any time.
