You won’t find many tourist stalls along the Appalachian Trail, but so long as you bring your camera, you have all the picture-perfect postcards you’ll need. This active walking and hiking trip connects you with one of North America's most scenic nature trails at the very height of its eye-popping glory. As you walk, delve into the region's unique cultural heritage.

Day 1 Boston/Franconia State Park (1L, 1D)

Arrive at the morning, transfer to Franconia SP, then hike to Lonesome Lake.

Day 2 Franconia State Park (1B, 1L, 1D)

Full day guided hike to Mt Lafayette, hiking along the ridge and passing Mt Lincoln. This evening stay in a mountain hut just below treeline.

Day 3 Franconia State Park/Mt Washington (1B, 1L, 1D)

Hike down the Old Bridge Path on return to our van. In the afternoon, opt to visit Flume Gorge or relax after the morning hike.

Day 4 Crawford Notch State Park (1B, 1L, 1D)

Transfer to Crawford Notch SP. Options to hike to Arethusa Falls, Frankenstein Cliff and Mt Willard or Mt Webster Cliff Trail. Great views of Mt Washington in the distance.

Day 5 Mt Washington (1B, 1L, 1D)

Ascent of Mt Washington, stopping for a trailside lunch on the way to the summit. Return down from the summit of Mt Washington following a different route.

Day 6 Mt Washington/Boston (1B)

Transfer to Boston. Tour ends upon arrival.
