Day 1 Bangkok
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Yangon (1B)
Flight to Yangon. Visit the stunning gold-encrusted Shwedagon Pagoda.
Days 3-4 Mandalay (2B)
Fly to Mandalay then explore the region with a full-day tour of the neighbouring towns and villages of Amarapura, Saigaing, and Mingun with the option to cross the world's longest teak bridge.
Days 5-7 Bagan (3B)
Full day of travel down the Irrawaddy River by ferry to discover rural Burma. Full-day guided tour of Bagan Archaeological Zone, home to thousands of ancient temples.
Days 8-9 Inle Lake (2B)
Fly to Inle Lake before visiting the Pindaya Caves. Half-day boat tour to visit floating gardens, stilt villages, silk weavers and the region's famous leg-rowing fisherman.
Day 10 Chiang Rai (1B)
Travel day. Flight to Tachileik and cross border to Mae Sai, transfer to Chiang Rai.
Days 11-12 Chiang Mai
Visit Doi Suthep temple. Optional bike ride city tour, cooking school. Overnight train on Day 12 back to Bangkok.
Day 13 Bangkok
Visit Wat Po and klong tour. Option to visit Grand Palace, National Museum or shop on Khao San Road.
