    Day 1 New York

    Arrive at any time.

    Day 2 New York/Newburgh (L,D)

    Enjoy a city tour of the Big Apple. Take an optional boat tour to Liberty Island. Trade the city for your campsite and a campfire.

    Day 3 Finger Lakes (B,L,D)

    Travel to the beautiful Finger Lakes. Visit towering Taughannock Falls, cool off in, or beside, a crystal clear lake or rent a canoe.

    Day 4 Niagara Falls (B,L,D)

    Travel to Niagara Falls. Get a closeup view aboard the Maid of the Mist. Take an optional excursion to the Cave of the Winds. We'll stick around until it's dark and the falls are illuminated.

    Day 5 Cleveland/Sandusky (B,L,D)

    Tour the Rock 'n' Roll Music Hall of Fame in Cleveland or ride the coasters at the Cedar Point amusement park.

    Day 6 Chicago (B)

    Arrive in Chicago with time for a guided city tour. Stroll along the pier of the Navy Pier or take an optional trip up the Willis Tower. Hit the town for an evening with the group.

    Day 7 Chicago

    Full day to explore Chicago.

    Day 8 Wisconsin/Winona (D)

    Stop in Milwaukee and take a tour of the Miller brewery. Continue on to the state capitol of Madison for some shopping. End the day at our campground beside the Mississippi River.

    Day 9 Sioux Falls/Kennebec (B,L,D)

    Head west into Sioux territory and the Great Plains. We'll stop in Sioux Falls, the Devil's Gulch and at the Corn Palace before reaching our campsite.

    Day 10 Badlands NP (B,L,D)

    At "1880's Town", take an optional tour of this frontier tourist attraction. Arrive at Badlands National Park and marvel at the surreal landscape. Spend the night at a cowboy ranch and consider an optional horseback ride.

    Day 11 Custer (B,L,D)

    Before reaching the Black Hills, there is a stop at Wall Drug—a traditional roadside attraction. Take the scenic route to Custer State Park—home to the world's largest free-roaming bison herds.

    Day 12 Custer (B,L)

    Visit Mount Rushmore. Take lunch in the former boom town of Keystone. Visit the spectacular Crazy Horse Memorial in time for a laser-light show. Indulge in an optional hot air balloon ride.

    Day 13 Devil's Tower (B,D)

    Visit historic Deadwood on the scenic path to Devils Tower. Marvel at the scenery of Spearfish Canyon.

    Day 14 Cody (B,L,D)

    Drive through Bighorn National Forest on the way to Cody, Wyoming—the rodeo capital of the world. Try an optional excursion to an authentic rodeo.

    Day 15 Yellowstone NP (B,L,D)

    Arrive in Yellowstone National Park. The Beartooth Scenic Drive brings us to Lamar Valley and the Northern Loop. Marvel at hydrothermal features, Mammoth Hot Springs and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

    Day 16 Yellowstone NP (B, D)

    Explore the South Loop. Encounter Old Faithful, Lake Village and Grant Village.

    Day 17 Grand Teton NP/Jackson (B,L)

    On the drive to Grand Teton National Park, stop at Jenny Lake for an optional boat ride to Inspiration Point. Continue on to Jackson, Wyoming. Go dancing at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

    Day 18 Salt Lake City (B,L,D)

    Take a guided tour past Olympic venues and the Mormon Temples.

    Day 19 Tonopah (B)

    Drive the "Loneliest Road in America" on the way to Tonopah. Tour a mine tunnel then spend the evening stargazing.

    Day 20 Yosemite NP (L,D)

    Take the scenic Tioga Pass to Yosemite National Park. Hikes past waterfalls and amongst giant sequoias while searching for wildlife.

    Day 21 Yosemite NP (B,L,D)

    It's a full day to explore the park. Hike the trails or rent a bicycle and get rolling.

    Day 22 San Francisco (B)

    Arrive in San Francisco and enjoy a city tour. Discover Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge, or try options like a cable-car ride or a sunset sailing.

    Day 23 Yosemite NP (L,D)

    Travel to Yosemite National Park. Hikes past waterfalls and amongst the giant sequoias. Keep a keen eye and look for black bears and deer.

    Day 24 Yosemite NP (B,L,D)

    Take a full day to explore Yosemite. Hike some of the trails or rent a bikes and get rolling.

    Day 25 Bishop (B,L,D)

    Take the magnificent Tioga Pass to Mono Lake. Walk among incredible tufa rock towers. Continue on to the mountain town of Bishop. Stargaze from secluded hot springs.

    Day 26 Death Valley NP/Las Vegas (B,L)

    Drive to desolate Death Valley. Arrive in Las Vegas with time for a guided tour the strip then head to the casinos or catch a show. Or take an optional limousine tour.

    Day 27 Las Vegas

    It's a day to indulge in Las Vegas.

    Day 28 Grand Canyon NP (L,D)

    Travel to the Grand Canyon. Hike to awe-inspiring views then return to camp for a campfire BBQ. Take an optional helicopter flight.

    Day 29 Monument Valley (B,L)

    Discover Monument Valley, learn about Navajo culture and camp under the stars. Option to take a jeep tour led by a Navajo guide.

    Day 30 Mesa Verde NP/Durango (B,L,D)

    Drive to Mesa Verde National Park and take a guided hike through the cliff dwellings, some of the most notable and best preserved in North America.

    Day 31 Taos/Santa Fe (B,L,D)

    Head to Santa Fe with a stop in Taos and Kit Carson Park. Option to visit the historical site of Taos Pueblo.

    Day 32 Santa Fe (B)

    Free day to explore Santa Fe.

    Day 33 Carlsbad (B,D)

    Visit Carlsbad Caverns, with a tour of one of the oldest and most famous cave systems in the world. In the evening witness swarms of bats in the thousands leaving the cave.

    Day 34 Fort Stockton/San Antonio (B,L,D)

    Visit historic Fort Stockton in Texas, then cool off in the clear blue-green waters of Paradise Canyon before continuing to San Antonio in the evening.

    Day 35 The Alamo/Houston (B,L,D)

    Head to historic San Antonio and learn about the battle at The Alamo. Continue back in time on the San Antonio River Walk.

    Day 36 Lafayette/New Orleans (B)

    Optional visit to an Acadian village in Lafayette, for a taste of the 19th century. Carry on to New Orleans with time for a guided city tour of New Orleans. Take an optional swamp tour or cruise the Mississippi on a steamboat.

    Day 37 New Orleans

    Full day to explore New Orleans.

    Day 38 Memphis (L,D)

    Explore Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll, and home of the Blues. This evening stroll Beale Street, with it's live entertainment. Option to visit the National Civil Rights Museum.

    Day 39 Nashville (B,L,D)

    Travel to Nashville. Option to visit Elvis' Graceland, the Grand Ole Opry, or a real cowboy bar.

    Day 40 Wytheville (B,L,D)

    Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway through the Appalachian Mountains on the way to Wytheville. Option to take short hikes on the many trails throughout the park.

    Day 41 Shenandoah NP/Washington DC (B,L,D)

    Continue along the Blue Ridge Parkway through Shenandoah National Park. Arrive in Washington DC.

    Day 42 Washington DC (B)

    Spend a full day exploring Washington DC. Option to visit the National Mall and its many museums. Later, stroll through Georgetown or return the mall for illuminated monuments.

    Day 43 Philadelphia/New York City (B)

    Travel to Philadelphia and learn about the nation's independence. Embark on another city tour of NYC, or take some time to see Brooklyn.
