Explore the otherworldly landscapes of the Atacama and the salt flats of Salar de Uyuni. Embrace cultures past and present in Cuzco and trek the legendary Inca Trail. Day 1 Buenos Aires

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Salta

Fly to Salta. Included scenic van ride following the route of the 'Train to the Clouds.' Optional activities includemountain biking, exploring the city and surroundings and enjoying the local cuisine.

Day 4-5 San Pedro de Atacama

Cross into Chile and travel by bus to San Pedro de Atacama. Optional excursions to nearby ruins, mountain biking, or a visit to the Valley of the Moon.

Day 6-8 4x4 Atacama Desert Crossing Excursion / Uyuni

Ascend by bus into the mountains and cross into Bolivia. Three day 4x4 excursion to the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery.

Day 9 Potosi

Travel by bus to Potosí. Optional tour to a working mine, or explore the city and visit the Casa de la Moneda museum.

Day 10-13 Nightbus / La Paz / Tiahuanaco

Overnight bus to La Paz. Optional city tour or explore the city's markets. Guided tour to the pre-Inca ruins of Tiahuanaco.

Day 14 Puno

Travel by bus through the altiplano, crossing the border, to the Peruvian city of Puno on the shore of Lake Titicaca.

Day 15-16 Lake Titicaca / Taquile Island (L, D, B)

Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca with a Homestay in a small village. Optional visit to Sillustani burial site.

Day 17-18 Cuzco

Travel by bus to Cuzco. The next day is free to enjoy the city's museums and local markets. Optional city tour.

Day 19 Ollantaytambo

Full day tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo, including a visit to a local community and various Inca ruins.

Day 20-23 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (3B, 3L, 2D)

4-day guided Inca Trail hike with visit to Machu Picchu. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cuzco.

Day 24 Cuzco

Free day to explore Cuzco or relax. Active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.

Day 25 Lima

Fly to Lima. Optional city tour or free time to explore.

Day 26 Lima

Depart at any time.
