Explore the otherworldly landscapes of the Atacama and the salt flats of Salar de Uyuni. Embrace cultures past and present in Cuzco and trek the legendary Inca Trail. Day 1 Lima

Arrive at any time.

Days 2-3 Cuzco

Early flight to Cuzco. Free day for shopping and time to explore the city. Optional city tour.

Day 4 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo

Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins along with a visit to a Planeterra weaving project in a local community. Shopping opportunities at a local market.

Days 5-8 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (3B,3L,3D)

4-day guided Inca Trail hike with visit to Machu Picchu. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cuzco.

Day 9 Cuzco

Free day to explore Cuzco or relax. Active options include whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking.

Day 10 Puno

Travel day by bus from Cuzco to Puno.

Days 11-12 Lake Titicaca/Taquile Island (1L,1D,1B)

Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour of Lake Titicaca with a homestay in a small village. Optional visit to Sillustani burial site.

Days 13-15 Tiahuanaco/La Paz

Travel by bus and cross the border into Bolivia, arriving to La Paz. Guided tour of Tiahuanaco ruins and free time for an optional city tour of La Paz or explore the markets.

Day 16 Potosí

Free day in La Paz before boarding an overnight bus to Potosí.

Day 17 Potosí

Free day in Potosí for an optional tour to a working mine, or explore the city and visit the Casa de la Moneda museum.

Days 18-20 Uyuni/4x4 Atacama Desert Crossing Excursion (2B,2L,2D)

Travel to Uyuni by bus. Embark on a 3-day 4x4 excursion to the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding desert altiplano with spectacular scenery.

Days 21-22 San Pedro de Atacama

Cross by 4x4 into Chile and descend by bus to San Pedro de Atacama. Optional excursions to nearby ruins, mountain biking, or a visit to the Valley of the Moon.

Days 23-24 Salta

Cross into Argentina and travel to Salta by bus. Included scenic van ride following the route of the 'Train to the Clouds'. Optional activities include mountain biking, exploring the city and surroundings and enjoying local cuisine.

Day 25 Buenos Aires

Fly to Buenos Aires. Optional city tour or free time to explore the many attractions and museums. Optional tango show and dinner.

Day 26 Buenos Aires
