Travel Visas

All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity). Contact your local embassy, or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements, or see your travel agent. It is your own responsibility to have the correct travel documentation. Visa requirements for your trip will vary depending on where you are from and where you are going. We keep the following information up to date as far as possible, but rules do change and sometimes without warning. While we provide the following information in good faith, it is vital that you check yourself and understand that you are fully responsible for your own visa requirements.

EGYPT:
Many nationalities including all Western European and Arab countries, USA, Australia and New Zealand are able to obtain a one-month single entry visa on arrival at Cairo International airport (follow directions to the visa payment desk on arrival at the terminal and have your cash ready) or at the Egyptian land border.Look for windows (marked "banks") selling these visas in the area where you line up to have your passport stamped. You need to get the visa before entering the passport line. The visa is a sticker which you need to stick into your passport before handing it to the authorities for stamping. The cost is USD15 or equivalent in EUR/GBP. All change will be given to you in Egyptian Pounds. Please note that for other nationalities it is necessary to organise your visa before you travel. It is vital that you check the conditions attached to your particular passport and make the necessary arrangements in advance. There is a departure tax of approximately 9 USD when departing Egypt via Nuweiba Port.

JORDAN:
For groups the Jordanian visa is free of charge and will be organised during your ferry journey from Egypt to Jordan. Not all nationalities automatically qualify for this free visa on arrival, and it is vital that you contact your local embassy or consulate for updated information according to your passport nationality.

SYRIA
All travellers require a visa to enter Syria.

Please contact your nearest Syrian embassy in order to obtain more information on the fees and process involved in processing visas for your nationality.
Please note that it is often only possible to obtain a Syrian visa within your country of residence.

Often multiple entry visas are the same price as single entry visas for Syria. We recommend you apply for a multiple entry visa at the time of issue, as many travellers choose to take an optional side trip to Lebanon during their tour.

Here are some things you will need to know in order to complete the application:

Accompanied By:
List any family travelling with you. If none, then don’t put anything here.

Have you visited Occupied Palestine (this is refering to Israel):
if you have an Israeli stamp or entry/exit stamps from a neighbouring country which makes it clear you have entered Syria in your passport you will not be able to get a visa.

Travel Destination:
Damascus, Palmyra, Hama, Aleppo

Address in Syria: Jasmin Tours
F1, 17 Fat'hi Al Atassi Str. ( P O Box 12353) Damascus, Syria

References in Syria: Mr. Zakwan Al Halabi

Point of Entry: Dara'a border

Please note- for tours from 1st of April until all political protests have settled, we will be using the Nassib border crossing between Jordan and Syria. It is NOT a problem if you have already put Dara'a on your application.

Point of Exit: Aleppo

For each and every travellers it is VITAL that there are no Israeli stamps of any kind in your passports, nor any entrance or exit stamps from neighboring border checkpoints which would indicate a visit to Israel. This will be thoroughly checked by the Syrian border police and you will be denied entry. Your passports must be valid for at least 6 months prior to the departure date.

TURKEY:
An entry visa is required. Visas can be obtained by most nationalities at the point of entry to Turkey.
Approximate costs include:
- U.S.A (US$20),
- Canada (US$60 on arrival; CAD$75 for advance application)
- U.K. (US$20; US$45 for advance application)
- Australia (US$20 on arrival)
- Austria, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, Israel, Portugal & Spain (varies from US$10-100)
- South African (USD15 on arrival)
Visa costs can change at any time and with little notice depending on the political climate of the region. A valid passport is sufficient for citizens of most other countries including New Zealand, Argentina, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland for stays up to 3 months. All other nationalities please check with your nearest Turkish Embassy. Length of validity of your visa is dependent on your nationality, but is commonly 3 months.
