Day 1 Bangkok
Arrive at any time.
Days 2-3 Siem Reap (2B,1D)
Take a guided tour of the massive Angkor Wat temple complex. Enjoy a traditional meal of Khmer food either at the Planeterra-supported New Hope project or in a local home. With your free time, opt to visit the Tonle Sap floating village or the Angkor Museum. Be sure to enjoy the excellent restaurants and lively nightlife here.
Days 4-5 Phnom Penh (2B)
Take a guided tour of Tuol Sleng Prison and Choeung Ek (Killing Fields). Opt to visit the Royal Palace, National Museum or shop at the Central Market. A great afternoon activity is taking a cyclo tour through town for a street level view of this busy city.
Day 6 Kratie/Steung Treng (B)
Take an optional boat trip to see Irrawaddy dolphins.
Day 7 Don Khong (B)
Enjoy time in Don Khong with an optional bike ride or a village walk or choose to relax by the Mekong.
Day 8 Champasak/Dong Deng (D)
Enjoy a guided tour of Wat Phu Champasak. Enjoy a traditional homestay and local meal.
Days 9-11 Luang Prabang (3B)
Arrive to charming Luang Prabang. Visit the Ethnology Museum and Kuang Si waterfalls. There are tons of activities here to choose from like a cooking class, hiking, biking or shopping at the night market. Opt to rise before dawn and watch the monks walk through town in saffron robes receiving alms from the local residents.
Day 12 Vang Vieng (B)
Vang Vieng is full of adventure opportunities. Opt to go for a bike ride, kayaking, cave exploring or swimming around the area. With loads of cafés around town there's plenty to do even in your downtime.
Days 13-14 Vientiane (B)
Arrive to the capital of Laos and opt for temple visits, shopping in the markets and seeing the city highlights. This is a great place to get a massage and try some local restaurants. Take an overnight train to Bangkok on Day 14.
Day 15 Bangkok
Arrive to Bangkok in the morning. Trip ends on arrival at the Bangkok train station. If you are leaving Bangkok today, we recommend that you do not book onward travel until after 3pm. If you have extra time, we recommend booking pre- or post-accommodation to ensure you get the most out of this vibrant city.
