Casa del Suizo Lodge - 5 Days

Travel from Quito with a stop at Papallacta hot springs, to the tranquil Amazonian refuge of La Casa del Suizo Lodge, located on the shore of the majestic Napo River. A stone’s throw away from the eastern slopes of the Andes and overlooking vast expanses of lush primary rainforest, the lodge is a comfortable base from which to explore the jungle, whether you're hiking, canoeing, bird watching or swimming. See traditional hunting traps, try shooting a blowgun, visit an animal rescue centre or just enjoy the sunset over the lodge's magnificent panorama of the Napo.

Day 1 Quito/Amazon (L, D)

You'll be picked up by your bilingual guide from your Quito hotel for the trip to Papallacta Hot Springs. There will be time for a relaxing dip before lunch. Afterwards, head downhill towards the Amazon region - with plenty of amazing photo opportunities en route to the Napo River. You'll be met by canoes to take you in to Casa del Suizo.

Day 2-4 Casa del Suizo (3B, 3L, 3D)

There are an amazing variety of things to do here, from visits to a local wildlife sanctuary to river tubing, learning about medicinal plants, traditional Quichua culture, or visiting a local handicrafts market. Many choices will be available on arrival - enjoy as many or as few as you wish.

Day 5 Quito (B)

Today you'll bid the jungle farewell and head back through the amazing scenery to Quito, where your tour ends at your choice of the airport or your city hotel.
