Jebel Toubkal, Morocco’s 4,167m-tall peak, has captivated mountaineers for centuries. Our ascent up the rocky giant of North Africa—the tallest in the region—is no picnic, but is accessible to anyone in good shape and hungry for a thrilling high-altitude adventure. Traditional Berber communities line the route on this trip, and you’ll have plenty of time to learn their customs through village visits and overnight camping with hearty home-cooked meals. The views on the way up are spectacular, but nothing compares to what you’ll see (and feel) at the top.

Day 1 Marrakech

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Imi Oughlad/Azzadene Valley (1B,1L,1D)

Transfer to Imi Oughlad. Enjoy a 6-hr walk up to the Tizi ‘n Tacht Pass, descending into the Azzadene Valley and the village of Tizi Oussem.

Day 3 Berber villages/Aremd (1B,1L,1D)

A full day of walking through villages on the northern slopes of Mt Toubkal.

Day 4 Mizane Valley/Toubkal base camp (1B,1L,1D)

Ascend the beautiful Mizane Valley, passing the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, before arriving at our Mt Toubkal Base Camp.

Day 5 Mt Toubkal (1B,1L,1D)

Savour the satisfaction of your ascent when we summit the 4,167m high Mt Toubkal today!

Day 6 Imlil/Marrakech (1B,1L)

Descend to the village of Imlil before being transported back to Marrakech for a free afternoon.
