Day 1 San Francisco

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Yosemite NP (L,D)

Guided tour of San Francisco then drive to Yosemite National Park. Take short hikes in the park to waterfalls and lakes and walk amongst giant sequoias.

Day 3 Yosemite NP (B,L,D)

Full day to explore Yosemite National Park. Hike the many trails and be inspired by wild landscapes. Option to rent bikes in Yosemite Valley.

Day 4 Bishop (B,L,D)

Enjoy one of the most scenic drives in California, the Tioga Pass and visit ancient Mono Lake to walk among dramatic tufa towers. Enjoy secluded hot springs.

Day 5 Death Valley NP/Las Vegas (B,L)

Visit legendary Death Valley—the hottest, driest and lowest point in North America. In the evening, arrive in Las Vegas and take a guided tour of the famous Strip. Option to take a Limo VIP tour.

Day 6 Las Vegas

Free day to explore Las Vegas.

Day 7 Grand Canyon NP (L,D)

Travel to the Grand Canyon and hike along trails and admire awe-inspiring views. Option to take a helicopter flight or watch the IMAX Grand Canyon movie. Return to camp and enjoy a BBQ and campfire.

Day 8 Monument Valley (B,L)

Discover Monument Valley, learn about Navajo culture and camp under the stars. Option to take a jeep tour led by a Navajo guide.

Day 9 Mesa Verde/Durango (B,L,D)

Drive to Mesa Verde National Park and take a guided hike through the cliff dwellings, some of the most notable and best preserved in North America.

Day 10 Taos/Santa Fe (B,L,D)

Head to Santa Fe with a stop in Taos and Kit Carson Park. Option to visit the historical site of Taos Pueblo.

Day 11 Santa Fe (B)

Free day to explore Santa Fe.

Day 12 Carlsbad (B,D)

Visit Carlsbad Caverns, with a tour of one of the oldest and most famous cave systems in the world. In the evening witness the stunning spectacle as thousands of bats exit the cave.

Day 13 Fort Stockton/San Antonio (B,L,D)

Visit historic Fort Stockton in Texas, then cool off in the clear blue-green waters of Paradise Canyon before continuing to San Antonio in the evening.

Day 14 The Alamo/Houston (B,L,D)

Learn about the Battle of the Alamo while in San Antonio before travelling back in time on the San Antonio River Walk.

Day 15 Lafayette/New Orleans (B)

Optional visit to an Acadian village in Lafayette, for a taste of the 19th century. Carry on to New Orleans with time for a guided city tour of New Orleans. Take an optional swamp tour or cruise the Mississippi on a steamboat.

Day 16 New Orleans

Free day to explore New Orleans.

Day 17 Memphis (L,D)

Explore Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of rock & roll, and home of the blues. This evening, stroll Beale Street, with its live entertainment. Option to visit the National Civil Rights Museum.

Day 18 Nashville (B,L,D)

Travel to Nashville. Option to visit Elvis' Graceland, the Grand Ole Opry, or a real cowboy bar.

Day 19 Wytheville (B,L,D)

Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway through the Appalachian Mountains to Wytheville. Option to take short hikes on the many trails throughout the park.

Day 20 Shenandoah NP/Washington, DC (B,L,D)

Continue along the Blue Ridge Parkway through Shenandoah National Park. Arrive in Washington, DC.

Day 21 Washington, DC (B)

Spend a full day exploring Washington, DC. Option to visit the National Mall and its many museums. Later, stroll through Georgetown or return to the mall for illuminated monuments.

Day 22 Philadelphia/New York City (B)

Travel to Philadelphia and learn about the nation's independence. Continue on to New York and a city tour.

Day 23 New York City
