Trekking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, ziplining… Costa Rica really is the 'Adventure Capital of the Americas'. Thrill-seekers will find more than enough to keep themselves busy over this trip’s 13 action-packed days. After landing in San José, you’ll raft down the mighty Pacuare river before crossing over to our remote rainforest lodge, surrounded on all sides by the thick, enveloping jungle. From there, you’ll embark on four days of cycling and hiking around Monteverde and the Arenal Volcano, before heading down to the beach at Manuel Antonio National Park. Phew! Tired yet? No? Day 1 San José

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Pacuare River (2B,2L,1D)

Overnight guided rafting expedition along the Pacuare river, stopping along the way for several hikes from the river. Stay overnight by the river, before hiking into the rainforest to visit the Cabecar indigenous tribe.

Day 4-5 Sarapiquí (1B,2L,2D)

Take a guided nature trail walk through primary rainforest and swim in a pristine river where we are surrounded by nature. The next day is free for you to enjoy the remoteness of an old hacienda surrounded by nature, or you may want to take an optional horseback ride.

Day 6-7 Arenal/La Fortuna (1B)

Guided hike around the base of Arenal Volcano to El Castillo. Included stand up paddleboarding session on Lake Arenal.

Day 8-9 Monteverde

Make the journey today between La Fortuna and Monteverde including a guided bike ride on part of the journey. Option to explore Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, walk across bridges high atop the forest canopy or try ziplining.

Day 10-11 Manuel Antontio National Park

Hike in Manuel Antonio National Park, option to kayak through the mangrove channels from the sea.

Day 12 San José

Return to San José.
