Traverse streams and jungle hike in Sarapiquí Rainforest, paddle through world-class rapids, mountain-bike along breathtaking Arenal Lake, chill out to the sounds of crashing Pacific waves.

Trekking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, ziplining… Costa Rica really is the "Adventure Capital of the Americas." Thrill-seekers will find more than enough to keep themselves busy over this trip’s 13 action-packed days. After landing in San José, raft down the mighty Pacuare river before crossing over to our remote rainforest lodge, surrounded on all sides by the thick, enveloping jungle. From there, embark on four days of cycling and hiking around Monteverde and Arenal Volcano before heading down to the beach at Manuel Antonio National Park. Phew! Tired yet? No? Time to book!

  • Hiking in Manuel Antonio NP. Overnight rafting trip on Pacuare River and guided hike. Guided hike (Sarapiquí). Visit to the La Fortuna hot springs. Guided biking excursion from La Fortuna (half-day). Biking excursion en route to Monteverde.

Day 1 San José

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Pacuare River (2B,2L,1D)

Enjoy a 2 day guided rafting expedition along the Pacuare River, stopping along the way for several hikes from the river and staying overnight by the river in rustic cabins.

Day 4-5 Sarapiquí (1B,2L,2D)

Enjoy a rafting trip on the river before heading back on land. Board a van then a tractor-drawn cart excellent for navigating the jungle along rugged uphill terrain on the way to the special jungle oasis.

Day 6-7 Arenal/La Fortuna (1B)

Guided half-day biking tour in beautiful La Fortuna and soak in local hot springs. Opt for one of the many adventure activities such as whitewater rafting or a horseback ride to a local waterfall.

Day 8-9 Monteverde

Make the journey today between La Fortuna and Monteverde including a guided bike ride. Option to explore Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, walk across bridges high atop the forest canopy or try ziplining.

Day 10-11 Quepos/Manuel Antontio

Keep an eye out for wildlife on a guided hike in Manuel Antonio National Park. Opt to kayak through the mangrove channels from the sea or take a catamaran tour.

Day 12 San José

Enjoy the morning on the beach before returning to San José for the final night.
