But this trip isn't a cobweb-enshrouded history tour—you'll connect with village life, immerse yourself in urban centres and get active with outdoor pursuits, including kayaking in Montenegro and hiking through diverse country. With 29-days devoted to this journey, this is your chance to discover what still feels like a well-kept secret.

Day 1 Berlin

Arrive at any time. We recommended arriving a day or two early to fully explore this world-renowned city.

Day 2 Berlin (1B)

Explore this amazing city with tangible historical importance and a melting pot of different cultures and flavours. Options include the East Side Gallery, Checkpoint Charlie, world-class museums, a visit to the Reichstag or the Berlin Television Tower for a sweeping view.

Day 3 Warsaw (1B)

Guided tour of the city, taking in the remarkably rebuilt Old Town, the Castle, and discussing the history of the Warsaw Uprising.

Days 4-5 Zakopane (High Tatra Mountains) (2B)

Enjoy an included hike in this breathtaking mountain range. Try the local delicacy, oscypek (smoked sheep's milk cheese).

Days 6-7 Krakow (2B)

Enjoy the sights and sounds of Poland's cultural hub. After a sobering visit to Auschwitz, take a train to Prague.

Days 8-9 Prague (2B)

Soak up the atmosphere of a unique community where every street, ghetto, inn and theatre tells a story.

Days 10-11 Český Krumlov (2B)

Step back into medieval times with an optional visit to Český Krumlov Castle and spend an afternoon rafting on the Vltava river.

Days 12-13 Vienna (2B)

Enjoy a walking tour of Vienna's most beautiful sights including the Hofburg and St Stephen's Cathedral.

Day 14 Bratislava/Budapest (1B)

Visit to Slovakia's little-known capital of Bratislava before continuing on to Budapest.

Day 15 Budapest (1B)

Situated on a beautiful stretch of the Danube, explore the old narrow streets and medieval buildings of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Days 16-17 Belgrade (2B)

Explore the ancient capital of Serbia and visit the 1500-year-old Kalemegdan Fortress. Opt to float down the Danube or shop in one of the many bustling markets.

Days 18-20 Sarajevo/Mostar (3B)

Included tour of the 'Tunnel of Life'. Stroll the cobblestoned streets and learn the inspiring history of the magnificent town of Mostar on an included day trip.

Days 21-23 Herceg Novi (Bay of Kotor) (3B)

Wander the streets of the walled city of Kotor and float through the lush landscape by sea kayak.

Days 24-25 Dubrovnik (2B)

Experience the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. Choose to relax in one of the many cafés, explore the old town fortifications or take a boat trip to one of the nearby islands.

Days 26-27 Hvar (2B)

Enjoy amazing beaches, nightlife and water sports on this beautiful island. Take a short hike along a southern coastal path to visit an undersea wine cellar before returning to the town by boat.

Day 28 Split (1B)

Split is one of Croatia's oldest and most important cities. Visit the imposing Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian.

Day 29 Split (1B)

Depart at any time. We recommend booking post-tour accommodation to fully enjoy this lively city. We recommend staying an extra day or two to fully experience all this city has to offer.
