Day 1 Cairo
Arrive at any time and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Cairo (B,D)
On-site lectures at the Pyramids of Giza, Sakkara and Dahshur, entrance into Khafre pyramid and visit to the Sphinx. Option to take a camel ride at Giza. Overnight sleeper train to Aswan.
Day 3 Aswan (B,D)
Felucca boat ride on the Nile, visit to a traditional Nubian village and dinner with a local family.
Day 4 Aswan (B)
Flight to and guided tour of Abu Simbel, tour of the High Dam, Philae Temple and unfinished Obelisk quarry.
Day 5 Luxor (B)
Travel to Luxor with visits to the Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples with our Egyptologist.
Day 6 Luxor (B,D)
Walking lecture/tour of the Karnak and Luxor Temples and visit to the Mummification Museum. Experience a local specialty with an Egyptian pizza dinner.
Day 7 Luxor, Cairo (B)
Tour of the Valley of the Kings where we explore some of the tombs and observe archeologists searching for new sites. Visit the Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon. Option to visit the Tomb of Tutankhamun.

Tour the Egyptian Museum including the treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Sample an Egyptian specialty, kushari for lunch in a local restaurant and take an orientation walk of the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Option to visit the Mummy room and shopping.
