Looking to give your kids a crash course in exotic wildlife? What better place to visit than “Darwin’s test kitchen,” the Galápagos? On this multi-activity trip, you’ll have the chance to snorkel, hike, kayak, and swim the islands, as well as visit a giant tortoise breeding centre and the Charles Darwin Research Station. Who says learning about nature has to be boring?

Itinerary Notes

This trip is designed for parents and children to enjoy together. You will be travelling as part of a group of families with other children. The itinerary has been designed with the needs of the whole family in mind. We have given this trip a minimum age for this trip to allow you to be sure that you have the right trip for you and your family. Minimum age of 6 years for this trip. Please see the activities for any specific minimum age requirements.

Day 1 Quito

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 San Cristóbal Island (1B,1L)

Fly to San Cristóbal. Visit the Interpretation Centre in the afternoon to learn about the natural history of the area.

Day 3 San Cristóbal Island (1B,1L)

Snorkelling trip to Isla Lobos to search for marine life like sea turtles, manta rays and swim with sea lions. The afternoon is free to enjoy the beaches and surrounding area.

Days 4-6 Santa Cruz (3B)

Travel by boat to Santa Cruz Island. On arrival, take a sea kayaking adventure at Tortuga Bay to explore the mangroves. On Day 5 visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. On Day 6, head out on a boat tour to Lobería, Grietas and Playa de los Perros, where there's time for some swimming or snorkelling. In the afternoon, visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre on the way back to town. Optional surf lessons on the nearby beach.

Day 7 Santa Cruz Island/Quito (1B)

Fly back to Quito, where the rest of the day is free to explore the city.

Day 8 Quito (1B)

Depart at any time.
