Day 1 Arrive Quito

Arrive in Quito at any time. There are no planned activities, so check into our hotel and enjoy the city.

Day 2 Baltra / Santa Cruz (1B,1L,1D)

Fly to Baltra. Meet the guide and transfer across Santa Cruz Island to Puerto Ayora making a stop at a tortoise ranch in the highlands.

Day 3 Chinese Hat / Black Turtle Cove (1B,1L,1D)

Visit to Chinese Hat for snorkelling opportunities and to observe the birds and sea lions before taking an excursion to Black Turtle Cove to see the marine life.

Day 4 Cerro Dragón / Daphne (1B,1L,1D)

Visit Cerro Dragón on the west coast of Santa Cruz Island, to see land iguanas and a salt water lagoon frequented by flamingoes and other species of birds. Continue to Daphne Island in the afternoon to spot birds and wildlife.

Day 5 South Plaza / Santa Fé (1B,1L,1D)

Land at South Plaza in the morning for wildlife spotting opportunities. Afternoon visit to Santa Fé Island for guided walks to observe the wildlife and plentiful marine iguanas. Opportunities for swimming and snorkelling with the sea lions.

Day 6 San Cristóbal/ Quito (1B)

Visit the Interpretation Center on San Cristóbal Island before flying back to Quito.

Day 7 Quito / Lima (1B)

Included in this trip is your transfer to the airport and your flight to Lima. A transfer will be waiting for you at Lima airport and will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 8 Cusco (1B)

Group transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, where you meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing or exploring the fascinating city of Cusco.

Day 9 Sacred Valley / Ollantaytambo (1B, 1L)

Travel with our local guide through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. An important source of food for the Inca, the Sacred Valley is a lush agricultural region that continues to supply the city of Cusco with much of its produce.

Ollantaytambo is your first taste of what lies ahead on the Inca Trail. We spend the night in this small town before heading out for the start of the hike the next morning.

Day 10-13 Inca Trail (4B, 3L, 3D)

The 4-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is physically challenging but worthwhile, and the excursion is within the ability of most reasonably fit people. It is a 44km (27 mile) hike, with three high passes to be crossed, one of which reaches an elevation of 4200m (13,776 ft). The trail is often steep, and it may rain even during the dry season. The temperatures at night may fall below freezing, so it is important to come prepared.

Day 14 Depart Cusco (1B)

Depart at any time. Note: A flight to Lima can be arranged if requested at the time of booking.
