Free day in Athens. Options include the Acropolis site, the new Acropolis Museum, the Roman agora and the National Archaeological Museum. Overnight ferry to Crete.

Day 3 Chania, Crete

Free time to explore Chania.

Day 4 Samaria Gorge, Agia Roumeli

Hike the famous and rugged Samaria Gorge.

Days 5-6 Loutro (2B,1L)

Cooking class and lunch with a local family. Option to rent a kayak and explore secluded beaches and coves, enjoy a swim followed by a tasty seafood lunch at a secluded restaurant or hike Aradine Gorge.

Day 7 Heraklion

Visit to Rethymno, vibrant and fascinating town with beautiful Venetian quarter. Option to visit Knossos, the capital of the ancient Minoans - one of the world's first superpowers.
