This 7-day adventure on the Big Island will introduce you to a side of America’s furthest-flung state you won’t find on the beach. Here, you’ll meet Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, bike the amazing coastal roads of Hamakua, kayak in the Pacific Ocean and go horseback riding with some genuine Hawaiian cowboys. What’s the Hawaiian word for ‘boring’? You won’t find out on this trip, that’s for sure.

Day 1 Hawaii Island

Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.

Day 2 Hawaii Island (1B)

Visit one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, Kilauea. Check out the visitor centre and drive to the crater for impressive views.

Day 3 Hawaii Island (1B)

This morning, we rent some bikes and visit Hilo and its nearby park: Rainbow Falls, Liliuokalani Garden, Bay Front. After lunch, take the road along Hamakua Coast, stop at Akaka Falls and Waipio Valley for a walk. Transfer to Kona.

Day 4 Hawaii Island (1B)

Sea kayaking in Keauhou Sea Cave Tour (approx- 3h 30mins). Visit Pu'uhonua o Honaunau - Place of Refuge where you have the opportunity to observe turtles in their natural habitat. We return mid-afternoon and free time.

Day 5 Hawaii Island (1B)

Kohala Mountains- visit paniolo country and learn about Hawaiian cowboys as well as having time for horseback riding. Visit Hawi and Kohala Coast on the other side of the Waipio Valley.

Day 6 Hawaii Island (1B)

Take a boat ride and discover the marine life of Hawaii on an included snorkelling trip. We have a free afternoon to relax at the hotel.
