Day 1 Kathmandu

Day 2 Kathmandu

Orientation walk in Durbar Square.

Days 3-6 Lhasa

Morning flight to Lhasa. Orientation walk around Barkhor Square and guided tour of the Potala Palace and Norbulinka, Jokhang temple and Sera Monastery.

Day 7 Gyantse

Drive to Gyantse along Yamdrok Tso.

Day 8 Shigatse

Visit to Pelkor Chode Monastery, Gyantse Kumbum and Tashilunpo Monastery.

Day 9 Sakya

Visit to Sakya Gompa.

Day 10 Rombuk and Everest Base Camp

Rombuk is the highest monastery in the world. Hike to Everest Base Camp for a closer view of this magnificent mountain.

Day 11 Lao Tingri

This town may be a small outpost, but the views are truly spectacular.

Day 12 Zhangmu

Leave the Tibetan Plateau and travel to Zhangmu.

Day 13 Kathmandu

Free time to explore the city.
