Explore the geological wonders that have shaped Iceland on the Golden Circle tour, including a walk in Thingvellir National Park and visits to the Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Hot Springs.
Visit the island’s south shore beginning with a walk behind Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Stop at the black sand beaches then continue to Solheimajokull Glacier and view the infamous Eyjafjallajokull Volcano. Option to visit the Iceland Erupts exhibition.
Take an ice walk on Falljokull Glacier, part of Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest glacier. Then visit the scenic Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon with option to take a ride on a 'wheeled boat' for a closer look at the icebergs. Continue to the east shore for the evening.
Scenic drive around Iceland’s East Coast before heading inland to the northern lakeside village of Myvatn. Visit the geothermal lake, Dimmuborgir Lava Fields and Krafla geothermal area. Option to visit the local geothermal pools. Day 6 includes A visit to the mightY Dettifoss Waterfall and Ásbyrgi Canyon. Also embark on a Whale Watching excursion in Húsavík - Iceland's whale watching capital.
Visit the stunning Godafoss 'horseshoe' waterfalls before arriving in the town of Akureyri, Capital of the North. Day 8 is free for personal exploration or choose from the many optional activities in the area.
