Day 1 Lima
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.
Day 2 Paracas (1B)
Travel to Paracas National Park. Relax in this sleepy seaside town and sample Peru's national drink, the Pisco Sour.
Day 3 Ballestas Islands/Nazca (1B)
Visit the Ballestas Islands by boat to view sea lion colonies, penguins and other bird life. Continue south in the afternoon to Nazca with a stop at the Huacachina sand dunes and oasis.
Day 4 Nazca (1B,1D)
Tour of a pre-Inca cemetery in the Nazca desert to view 1,500 year-old mummies, bones and pottery on the desert floor. Also visit a local pottery studio for a demonstration, and this evening, enjoy a traditional Pachamanca-style dinner. Option to take a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines.
Day 5-6 Arequipa (2B,1L)
Full day of driving down the coast to the colonial city of Arequipa. On Day 6, enjoy a city tour including a visit to the historic convent of Santa Catalina. Enjoy free time to explore the city and surroundings.
Day 7 Cuzco (1B)
Fly to Cusco and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 8 Sacred Valley (1B,1L)
Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas including the Pisac ruins and market, a visit to the Planeterra-supported women's weaving project in a local community and Ollantaytambo town and ruins. Visit the Planeterra-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco, an indigenous village for lunch. Option for shopping at a local market.
Day 9 Aguas Calientes (1B)
Travel by train and enjoy stunning scenery as we follow the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes. Option to visit the local hot springs and market. Those who have pre-booked and purchased the '1-day Inca Trail' hike will disembark the train at 104 km and trek to the Sun Gate for the first glimpse of Machu Picchu before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night.
Day 10 Machu Picchu/Cuzco (1B)
Guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu and optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco by train.
Day 11 Cuzco (1B)
Enjoy the day at leisure with option to visit the many museums and ruins in and around Cusco. More active options including cycling, rafting or rock climbing.
Day 12-13 Puno/Lake Titicaca (2B)
Take in the scenic views while travelling through the high Altiplano region to Puno. Visit to the floating Islands of Uros and guided tour by boat of Lake Titicaca. Option to visit the Sillustani burial site ruins.
Day 14 Lima (1B)
Fly to Lima for the final night. Optional city tour, visits to museums, or free time to explore.
