Day 1 Tehran

Arrive in Tehran at any time.

Day 2 Tehran/Overnight Train (1B)

Full day exploration of Tehran with a local guide, visiting the Sa’d Abad Palace, Carpet Museum, National Museum, and Golestan Palace before an overnight train to Yazd.

Day 3 Yazd (1B)

Arrive in Yazd, the centre of the Zorastrian religion. Tour the old town, marvelling at the unique towers that scatter the city. Visit the Jameh Mosque, Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Zoroastrian Fire Temple, and the Towers of Silence burial grounds.

Days 4-5 Kerman/Mahan/Rayen (2B)

Kerman outpost is home to the villages of Rayen and Mahan, both steeped in history. Visit the Shah Nematolah Vali, Shahzadeh Garden, and Mahan ancient fort.

Day 6 Shiraz (1B)

Fly to Shiraz. Explore the city and visit the Karim Khan Citadel, Vakil Mosque, and the Tombs of Hafez and Sa’adi.

Day 7 Persepolis/Shiraz (B)

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Persepolis, the ceremonial palace of Darius, with amazingly well-preserved carvings. Then, walk the streets and mingle with the students in laid-back Shiraz.

Day 8 Isfahan (B)

Visit to Pasargadae complex on the way to Isfahan, one of the finest Islamic cities in the world.

Days 9-10 Isfahan (2B)

Tour the beautiful city of Isfahan, enjoying the famous square, beautiful mosques and bartering at the bazaar. Hang out on the many bridges that make Isfahan unique or shop for an authentic Persian rug.

Day 11 Natanz/Abyaneh (1B)

A scenic drive through Natanz brings us to the the mountain village of Abyaneh. Included village walk through Abyaneh, known for having retained its ancient charm.

Day 12 Kashan/Maranjab Desert (1B)

Head north and stop in Kashan for the morning. Continue to Matinabad to visit the Maranjab Desert and opt for a camel ride. Overnight in a caravanserai in hotel-style rooms or tents in the desert.

Day 13 Tehran (1B)

Drive back to the busy capital city of Tehran for some final sightseeing.

Depart at any time.
