Connecting two major hubs, this overland journey will take you from Johannesburg to Nairobi and into the stunning wilderness of the six countries that lie in between. Track Africa’s Big Five on game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro and head to the Okavango Delta for game walks and mokoro canoe excursions. Inhale the mists of Victoria Falls and the fragrant air of spice plantations in Zanzibar. You'll make your discoveries by using a combination of a 16-person minibus and a rugged overland truck. Combine this with bush camping, a social atmosphere and a comprehensive itinerary and you have one hell of an adventure.

Day 1 Johannesburg

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Serowe/Maun (2B,2L,2D)

Embark on optional open vehicle game drive in Khama Rhino Sanctuary or a scenic flight from Maun over the delta.

Day 4 Okavango Delta (1B,1L,1D)

Enjoy game walks, traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions and birding. View wildlife up close.

Day 5-6 Gweta/Chobe River (2B,2L,2D)

Camp under ancient baobab trees, watch the elephants drink from the camp's watering hole. Hop on a optional boat cruise on the Chobe River in Chobe National Park.

Day 7-9 Livingstone (3B,1L)

Optional excursions here are endless—visit Victoria Falls, go whitewater rafting or canoeing, take an elephant-back safari or an aerial flight over the falls and much more!

Day 10-15 Lusaka/Lake Malawi (6B,6L,6D)

Camp on a private game farm near Lusaka. Visit various camps on the shores of Lake Malawi. Option to go for walks, snorkelling, take a village tour or a fishing trip.

Day 16-17 Iringa/Dar es Salaam (2B,2L,2D)

Climb out of the Great Rift Valley, view vast tea plantations and descend down to the Indian Ocean.

Day 18-21 Zanzibar (4B)

Explore Stone Town and enjoy a guided tour of a spice plantation. Option to visit museums, historical sites and markets or enjoy the beach and marine activities like snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming.

Day 22-26 Korogwe/Arusha/Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater (5B,5L,5D)

Take the ferry to Dar Es Salaam. Catch your first glimpse of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy game drives in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in 4x4 safari vehicles.

Day 27 Nairobi (1B,1L)

Travel through the lands of the Masai people to Nairobi, where the tour ends upon arrival in the late afternoon.
