Mont Blanc Explorer

Designed as a less taxing option than our classic Mt Blanc trek, this eight-day trip hiking the surrounding slopes and valleys will reward you with a stunning combination of glacial ice caves and spectacular alpine scenery. Follow cobbled village streets to hearty dinners as you devour the best of the alps. While this trip requires moderate fitness to conquer certain trails, there are optional spa retreats to pamper weary muscles. The ultimate rewards are spectacular views of the soaring heights of the Alps and its charming mountain towns.

Day 1 Chamonix

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Les Houches, Chamonix

Enjoy a day hike from Les Contamines, pass over the Col de Voza to Les Houches.

Day 3 Chamonix

Free day to explore. Options include breathtaking cable car ride up the Aiguille du Midi pinnacle, visiting the Mer de Glace, taking a walk through the Ice Cave or a dip in a local thermal spa.

Day 4 Lac du Miage, Courmayeur

Half-day walk from Lac du Miage to Courmayeur with fantastic views of the 10km long Glacier du Miage.

Day 5 Courmayeur (B)

Free day to enjoy Courmayeur. Options include a spectacular cable car ride to Pointe Helbronner, a day of relaxation at the Pré St Didier spa.

Day 6 Mont de la Saxe, Courmayeur (B)

Day walk to Refuge Bertone for fabulous views of the Italian side of Mont Blanc.

Day 7 La Flégère, Chamonix (B)

Train to Le Buet followed by day walk with views of Glacier d’Argentière, Pic du Midi and Mont Blanc. Return to Chamonix.
