Day 1 San Francisco

Arrive at any time.

Day 2-3 Mendocino/Redwood State Park (1B,1L,2D)

Check out Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. Drive along the stunning coast to Mendocino, and walk beneath the giant redwoods and through a 'fern canyon'.

Day 4-5 Oregon Dunes/Silver Falls State Park (2B,2L,2D)

Tour little fishing villages and lumber towns along the dramatic coastline. Explore the Oregon Dunes by foot or on an optional dune buggy ride. Hike the Ten Falls Trail past waterfalls and explore the secret trails behind them.

Day 6-7 Mt Rainier National Park (2B,1L,2D)

Stop and smell the roses in Portland on the way to Mt St Helens—one the most active volcanoes in North America. Explore over a full day at Mount Rainier NP and enjoy a campfire barbeque.

Day 8-9 Seattle/Coeur D'Alene (1B,1L,1D)

See all the hype on an orientation tour, take an optional ride up the Space Needle, soak in the café culture. Morning free to explore Seattle, then head to Idaho with its beautiful mountains, rivers, and valleys.

Day 10-12 Glacier National Park/Helena (3B,3L,3D)

Enter Montana and enjoy a picnic lunch at Flathead Lake. Explore Glacier NP with over 50 glaciers and 200 lakes and streams. Hike the trails and enjoy the vistas. Visit the Lewis and Clark landmark 'The Gates of the Mountains'.

Day 13-15 Yellowstone National Park (3B,3L,3D)

Travel to Yellowstone, home to the most wild animals in the US. Tour the Northern Loop—Mammoth Hot Springs, Norris Geyser Basin and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Take the South Loop—Old Faithful, Lake Village and Grant Village. Lots of time for hikes and exploration.

Day 16-17 Grand Teton National Park/Jackson/Salt Lake (2B,2L)

Enjoy the view of more than 12 peaks and take an optional boat ride on Jenny Lake. Visit the One Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, known worldwide for its western dancing and live entertainment or go rafting. See the sights of Salt Lake City on an orientation tour.

Day 18-20 Tonopah/Yosemite National Park (2B,2L,2D)

Travel on the 'Loneliest Road in America'. Marvel at spectacular views of the park's peaks and granite domes. Take hikes to majestic waterfalls, lakes and meadows and walk amongst giant sequoias. Option to rent bikes for a ride in Yosemite Valley.

Day 21 San Francisco (1B,1L)

Check out any sights you missed on the first time around. Take an optional cable car ride over the steep hills, check out historic Haight-Ashbury and Golden Gate Park or set sail to the setting sun.
